Individual and Family Therapy, Sand Tray therapy specializing in areas of attachment, parenting and trauma. Katie draws from systems, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance, Commitment Therapy) models of therapy.
Therapeutic Philosophy
Katie’s therapeutic philosophy comes much from her personal believe in the importance of positive human connection. When we experience positive human connection with others and ourselves we experience joy, growth, and confidence.
History
Katie joined The Jonas Center in December 2015 and sees clients in Glencoe. Katie’s previous mental health experience includes therapeutic day treatment working systemically with children and families who have experienced trauma. She also provided in-home and out-patient therapy to families, parents, teens, and young children.
