Jack works with individual adults, couples and families experiencing difficulty with depression, anxiety, trauma, and relational challenges.
Competencies
Jack takes a family systems approach to therapy that recognizes how context influences a client’s well-being. Jack has an eclectic style that uses a range of psychotherapies to meet client needs. He has a particular interest in narrative, solution-focused, and cognitive-behavioral therapies and is actively pursuing continuing education in each approach. Jack takes a collaborative therapeutic posture that is client-centered.
Therapeutic Philosophy
Jack believes that past experiences influence who we are today. He believes that healing is available in the present when we honor our stories by exploring them with a gracious curiosity in a supportive community. Jack has a sense of humor that creates ease and approachability. He is accepting, respectful, and safe.
History
Jack’s experience includes working with adults and marriages from a spiritual perspective, and individual, couples and family therapy from a clinical perspective. Jack comes from a place of affirming each client wherever they are on their journey. Jack enjoys riding his motorcycle, running, and reading. He is married and the father of three children. Jack joined the Jonas Center in February 2021.
