Confidentiality

At the Jonas Center your privacy and confidentiality is handled with great care. You deserve emotional safety and security, and we take it very seriously. We also understand the special circumstances of living in a smaller community. The Jonas Center strictly follows all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines, which means your record is afforded strong legal protection, and we give you a description of the use and disclosure of any information we obtain from you. We will always respect your privacy – in the office, in the waiting room and in the community.

You can learn more about privacy and The Jonas Center on the Getting Started page, where there’s a copy of our privacy notice. It details your rights and limits to your privacy, and is reviewed by you and the therapist at the first appointment. The client-therapist relationship is based on trust, and you can rest assured we will do everything possible to keep your information protected.
